About Fruition Integrated Mental Health

At Fruition Integrated Mental Health, we believe everyone deserves a safe, affirming space to explore their authentic selves, navigate challenges, and grow into the life they want.

Our practice is rooted in compassion, inclusivity, and a deep respect for the diverse experiences of our clients. We specialize in sex positive therapy and welcome individuals, couples, polycules, and families from all walks of life, with particular expertise in supporting queer, transgender, kinky, non-monogamous, and polyamorous and other nonmonogamous (ENM / CNM) communities.

We know that finding the right therapist can be frustrating, especially for those whose identities or relationships fall outside mainstream norms. That’s why we meet you where you are, without judgment, without assumptions, and with genuine curiosity about your story.

Heather Woodford, LCSW

Bring your WHOLE SELF. You deserve therapy that meets you exactly where you are at! Sex-positive, BDSM/kink positive, non-monogamy positive.

About My Clients

I have been working with the queer and sex positive communities since 2012: queer, gay, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, LGBTQIA2+, kinky, non-monogamous, polyamorous, and sex workers. I also work with couples, polycules and queer families.

I provide assessments for gender-affirming surgery letters. No one is turned away for payment reasons for a gender-affirming surgery letter assessment.

My Background and Approach

If you’ve been looking for a therapist to discuss sexuality with, I might be a good fit for you. I am a certified sex educator, and I’m nearly impossible to shock or scandalize. I take a customized, eclectic approach, largely grounded in narrative therapy, other parts work, and DBT. Or maybe you want support and strategy around life stress, mental health, relationship challenges, etc. – and you want someone who won’t judge your relationship, gender identity, orientation, or sexual practices in the process. Since 2014, I’ve also been training other therapists on how to support folks whose gender, sexuality and relationships don’t fit society’s norms.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I pride myself on creating safe spaces - especially for folks who find themselves marginalized from mainstream spaces. I take a non-judgmental approach, and am focused on collaborating with you to ADDRESS problems, rather than being DEFINED by them! Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions about my background, education, experiences, or perspective. I’m constantly learning more to decolonize my mind and my therapy office! Need change? If you’re searching for a safe space to explore your identities, learn how to manage life stressors, deal with emotional baggage that weighs you down, or equip yourself with tools to reach your goals, you’ve taken an important first step towards change. In the space we’ll build together during our work, I’ll strive to help you recognize patterns, learn about yourself, and develop skills, knowledge, and awareness that allow you to move towards the best version of your life and yourself.

My approach to therapy is rooted in the idea that once someone understands their own feelings, thoughts, and reactions, and has skills to manage those feelings, communicate effectively, and cope healthily, they can bloom in ways that allow greater peace, deeper connections, and a more balanced way of life.

My goal is to use an eclectic therapeutic approach in a culturally sensitive way that is specialized to your preferences and meets you where you’re at, just as you are, and empowers you to change in the ways most important to you. My approach incorporates non-judgmental stance, feedback, and collaboration that focuses on you as the expert on your experience.
